They began their training at Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre (CCDT) in Toronto, Canada. As a part of the company they toured around Canada performing works by Roderick George, Jennifer Archibald, Colin Connor, Sylvie Bouchard, Alyssa Martin, and Jera Wolf, among many others. With the company, Lola was also able to perform at the Joyce Theatre as a part of the 70th anniversary José Limón Festival, where CCDT was invited to perform excerpts of “The Winged”
Lola continued their training at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College, performing works by Hannah Garner (2nd Best Dance Company), Yue Yin (YYDC), Victor Quijada (Rubberband), Doug Varone (DOVA), and Norbert de La Cruz III. Lola graduated summa cum laude in May 2025.
Lola was able to further develop their artistry at programs at Domaine Forget, TransFormation Danse, RUBBERBAND and Gallim. Lola is a Springboard Danse 2025 alum, where they performed works by Sidra Bell and Jessi Stegall.
Lola is a performing artist for choreographer Thomas Hogan, currently in one of his latest works “David” a duet between Lola Jenkins and Bryanna Strickland. With Thomas, Lola has performed at Green Lung Studio, 14th Street Y theatre, Green Space, and Dance Lab NY.
They have had the opportunity to present work at the American Dance Guild Bare Bones November 2025 showcase, where they presented a new solo titled “Bedroom Studies”, and at the June 2026 Green Space Fertile Ground series in LIC, where they presented a new duet titled “2seconds” danced by Jasmine Alisca and Cameron Stedman.
Lola explores themes of love, loss, humour, anger, effort, peace, childhood, and relationship in their work. They enjoy finding the balance between the quotidian and the fantastical and curating states of true presentness in their choreography.
